Work Description

I chose to incorporate the traditional art of knotting into modern clothing design, using knot weaving as my inspiration. I think it fits well with Yohji Yamamoto's design philosophy and focus on apparel, and by incorporating the elements of knot weaving into the design, we can explore more different forms and textures. Because rope weaving is a very culturally rich art, it also triggers consumers' interest in exploring the stories behind the garments.
